Isle of Palms

The last week of August we went on our yearly trip to the Isle of Palms. What a much better trip for me this year than last. I could walk to the beach without pain in my ankles. We rented a big ol house across the street from the beach with its own private pool. It was a great trip hanging out with Jeff's family and the girls playing together. I especially liked the pool. Everyday when Lucy napped I was sitting right beside the pool or floating on a raft.

Lucy's hair and the wind were not friends.

Outer Banks

Jeff, Jason, Crystal, Ben and I went to the Outer Banks last weekend. What a beautiful area of NC. It is so incredible to be riding down the rode and see the sound on one side and the ocean on the other. This was my first trip there and hopefully not my last. We hit all of the tourist attractions since none of us cared about sitting on the beach.

Top of Cape Hatteras. What a long climb up the steps.
Long way up
Ben wanted to join us for a picture.
Famous Rodanthe house
Sitting in the sand at Jockeys Ridge
Jockeys Ridge...another fun climb.

We went flying with Orville

Top of the Wright Bros Memorial.

We did a lot of climbing and sweating over the weekend. Maybe next time we go it won't be so hot. We did cool down in the evenings by playing some farkle and mexican train dominoes.

11 Months Old

Lucy is finally on the move. She started crawling August 18th. She is now all over the place, checking out every room, bathroom and closet in the house. It is fun to watch her experience new things. I am curious at how long it will take her to crawl out of Lando's door! Lucy has also started drinking whole milk. She switched right over with no problem. She seems to like it more than formula. At this time she has 4 teeth.

Clapping her hands while watching Elmo. He is her favorite puppet on Sesame Street.

Crawling everywhere.
Lucy was suppose to be napping but this is what I found when I went in.
Yum! Cheese toast and green beans

Sleeping Baby

When I got up this morning this is how I found Lucy. It was just too funny to me. So when she went down for her nap I went in a little later and found her this way again. This time I had to take a picture. She must have a rough life that she falls asleep sitting up.

Weekend at Carolina Beach

Jeff, Lucy and I went out to Carolina Beach on Saturday and Sunday. Lucy had so much fun playing in the sand and water. We sat her right in the edge of the water and she loved it. Saturday she was the perfect child but then on Sunday she thought the sand was lunch. She has definitely become our little beach baby.

Do I really have to wear this hat?

Park and Kinsley

Jeff, Lando, Lucy and I went to the park this evening. Lucy had a great time on the swing. Of course Lando enjoyed himself sniffing everything in his path.

Wee...this is fun. She liked going fast and high. You can see her little bottom teeth and as of today one on the top is coming in.

Little Miss Serious

Kinsley and Lucy have played together the past couple of days. Kinsley is all over the place, crawling and pulling up, so I hope Lucy will get jealous and try to copy her. I am starting to wonder if Lando doesn't like Kinsley better than Lucy does! The girls enjoy each other and their moms have fun walking around the neighborhood.

Hanging out

I put shoes on Lucy for the first time. She was not sure about them but then she forgot she had them on.

Lucy loves to play music
