Big Girl Bed

My "baby" has officially moved to a big girl bed. We moved her into the bed last Saturday the 15th. It was a little bittersweet. I wanted to go ahead and get her moved well in advance of the baby coming since we are going to use her crib for the baby. So far she has done great with her bed. She still tells me that she is ready to go "night, night". It is really funny to see this little girl in such a big bed.

Caroline and Nonni Visit

Caroline and Nonni(Lucy's new name for Nonna) came down the second week in October. She is in year round school and they wanted something to do. So they headed on down to hang out and go to the aquarium. Lucy had a ball playing with Caroline. She wants to do everything Caroline does so she can be like the big girl!

They are too cute and Lucy's laugh is contagious
Smile!!
Off to the aquarium. Lucy's favorite animal there are the turtles. They were checking out the baby box turtles.

The albino alligator. Lucy is doing her chomp, chomp alligator impression.

Isn't Caroline just the cutest thing? Not only is she beautiful but she has the best personality and the biggest heart. And she give the best hugs EVER!

Asheboro Zoo

October 8th we took a little family trip to the zoo. Jeff and I haven't been since we were kids so I was pretty excited about going. Once we got there and Lucy understood that she was able to see real, live animals she was excited as well. We had a great day with perfect weather and little crowds. We started off in Africa and made our way over to North America. I would have to say that Lucy's favorite animals were the Bison(which is really odd), Eagle and the monkeys. She did not like the Gorilla at all. She was fine till one came up to her and she took off towards Jeff. For the next week she kept telling us, "Monkey scare Lucy". It was the funniest thing.

Say Cheese

These days whenever I get the camera out Lucy says, "Lucy do it". All she wants to do is look at the view finder even if I haven't been able to take the picture yet. So, taking a good picture is pretty much impossible. We gave her one of our old cameras so she could take her own pictures. She thinks this is the greatest toy. Most of her pictures have her fingers in the way but she has no idea and doesn't care. She just runs around to Jeff, Lando and me saying cheese.

She is really concentrating
I love how serious her face is. I get this face ALOT...

Airlie Gardens

The first Sundays in the month New Hanover County residents can get into Airlie Gardens for free. So, we decided to head over for something to get and get outside and play. Lucy had a great time running around all over the place.

How sweet

Banks Birthday

On Oct. 1st we went to a birthday party for a little boy named Banks(what an adorable name). He is in Lucy's class at school and just the cutest little guy. He had a carnival themed party with a clown, pizza and carnival food(snow cones and popcorn). Lucy had so much playing in their backyard because they had a ton for the kids to play with. The clown got out a parachute for the little ones to play with. This was her first time with one and she seemed to enjoy herself.
The birthday boy is on the left in the green shirt
This is TJ, he is on Lucy's class as well. His mom is due the week before me.
Lucy was playing in the jump house but had to keep her eye on everything else. Love the expression on her face.

Minnie Cake Pop

A few days after Lucy's birthday(yes, I am so late since it have been about a month) we gave her her Minnie Cake pop. At first she was a little worried about eating Minnie but it didn't take long for her to dig in! She loved it but who wouldn't. It was nothing but pure chocolate in the outside of cake. Yummy...

A mouthful!!
