Dancing with the Groom

Jeff's sister, Alison, got married May 21st. As soon as the DJ started playing music Lucy decided to get down. She stared shaking her booty. It was too funny watching her shake all around.
Johnathan, the groom, made a pit stop to dance with Lucy
During the father/daughter dance the DJ asked all the Dads to come up and dance. Lucy would have been fine dancing with Jeff but cake had just been served and she done with him(which was some delicious cake Alison). So the quality of the picture didn't turn out get due to Lucy squirming to get back to the table

My New 'Do

A couple of weeks ago I went into Lucy's room to get her up from her nap. Her hair bows hang on the wall near her bed. She kept pointing over to them and wanted to keep putting more in her hair. It was too cute. Of course I had to give her a mirror to check herself out.

Paci and Bow...What a beautiful combination

Ice Cream Cone

Lucy had iccccce ceam(in her words) in a cone for the first time Monday night. She thought that was the greatest thing. She wanted to sit on the couch, lick her ice cream and eat her cone. Now I know what to do if I need some quiet time. Ha

This is tasty and fun.

Hummm...wonder why my tongue is going numb.

Uh-Oh...Trouble!

So, last Wednesday night while eating dinner Lucy decided to take her dress off. She has never successfully taken her clothes off by herself till then. We just sat back and watched as she wiggled out of the dress. It was pretty amusing and entertaining. She is such a determined little girl.

She managed to take off the dress but leave on her shoes.

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day weekend in Durham. Jeff's sister, Alison, had a shower for her upcoming wedding that Saturday night so we decided to go for the whole weekend. My parents were gracious enough to watch Lucy for us that night so we could enjoy ourselves.

On Sunday we went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse with my parents, Brad, Sam, Morgan and Caroline. We had a nice mother's day especially since no one had to cook!

Pulling her dress up. Looks like we have another Caroline on our hands.

What a sweet little face and smile.

Not the best picture of Lucy but it was the best one we got for Mother's Day

Lucy giving me her "oh" face. No telling what she heard.

The Big 3-0!

I officially feel OLD. No longer being in my twenties is/was hard for to me to accept. But I had a happy day hanging out with Lucy and going to dinner with some great friends. We went to Ale House for some yummy food(blue cheese burger, delish). Amy thought it would be great if I put on this lovely hat. Thanks Amy! And Thank You to Angela, Tom, Bella, Crystal, Jason, Ben, Terry, Amy, Mike, Mason, Jessie and of course Jeff and Lucy for joining me on a school night to celebrate my birthday.

Well, of course Jeff came home with a box of Hot Tamales. He has only made the mistake of forgetting them once. I also woke up to a Happy Birthday banner and cards with money in them. One from Jeff and one from Lucy. I am so lucky!!

He also brought me home my Favorite cupcakes in Wilmington. Coastal Cupcakes, http://coastalcupcakes.com/ You'll have to check them out. They are fabulous.

And yes, I had to take a picture of the assortment. The cream cheese icing on the red velvet is to die for.

Easter Eggs

We never made it to a real Easter Egg Hunt so we had one in our front yard. Lucy did not know the difference. She had so much fun picking up the eggs and putting them in her bucket.

Kisses for her Mama!

"Mama's sunglasses are way better than mine"

What a face...

Lets go find some eggs
